Dec 10-13 | Seattle, Washington.
Two weekends ago I visited Seattle. I had visited Seattle a few times in the past, but I’ve never stayed in downtown and walked everywhere. It was a fun trip, and I have determined that places that have snow are more festive! I love it.
We stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown; great location by the way. On our first day, we visited the Pike Place Market and shared a crumpet and had some chowder. We stopped by the first Starbucks ever, and walked around downtown. Afterwards we had oysters and then rested at the hotel before heading out to fine dine at the Purple Cafe and Wine Bar. I love that place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The interior design was sleek, and they had a spiral, wine staircase!
The next day we hopped on the monorail and made our way to EMP. It was a lot of fun! Afterwards we made our way to the Seattle Space Needle and hung out there for a bit before we met up with my friend and his wife for dinner. And then we visited the Microsoft design studio because my friend is the lead visual designer there! Jack and I ended our evening at Capital Hill, and we stuffed ourselves with some fried seafood before heading back to our hotel. Yum. We stayed up and watched a few movies on HBO before we really called it a night.
It was a nice, short getaway from the Bay Area! Our next trip … maybe New York City!
